Patta Chitta

Patta Chitta is an important land record document in Tamil Nadu that shows the legal ownership and land details of a property.

  • Patta is the ownership record. It contains the landowner’s name, survey number, land area, and type of land (wet or dry).
  • Chitta is the land revenue record. It shows the classification of land and confirms whether it is agricultural or non-agricultural.

Together, Patta Chitta is used to verify land ownership, apply for loans, sell property, get building approvals, and complete land registration. It helps prevent disputes and ensures that the land is legally registered in the owner’s name.
